It's January 5, 2015 and for the past several years, I have had others suggest that I need to start a blog. I have thought about it time and time again, but just never got around to starting. So, it's a new year and why not start.

I have been married for 8 years. I'm a stay at home mommy to a very active 3 year old little boy. He will be turning 4 in February and most of my blog entries will more than likely pertain to something about him.

I have always been a crafty person. I enjoy putting my own personal touch on birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, Halloween costumes, and holiday decorating. I have never been the type to just stay inside the box. Just like so many others, once a theme or character is decided on, I become a scavenger of the internet for ideas. I gather ideas and then put a personal touch on it, to make it our own.

I look forward to having my sons parties and want it to be memorable for all who attend. I'm sure I could run down to the local store and buy a "pin the tail on the donkey" game, package of balloons, crepe paper and paper products. But I want to make sure that those who come have a great time and want to come back again. Fun decorative parties don't have to break the budget. Most of what I do is minimal costs that just needs a little bit of time. Let your little ones help and make it a family project.

Over the next couple of months, while I plan another birthday party for my son, I will be pulling out archive photos from past parties and compiling them here. Hopefully this will help others plan a fun party of their own.

So let's get ready to plan parties, make Halloween costumes, decorate for the holidays, maybe get a favorite of two of my recipes, some easy craft projects and whatever else just might come to mind. I'm ready to start this new adventure in my life and help others.
